Schleich Horse Clydesdale Foal

Compared to other horse breeds, Clydesdales mature more slowly. Rather than being four or five years old when they are completely grown, the foals are seven or eight years old. Then, they have a weight of more than 1,000 kg, or a small automobile. They have the strength to pull things that are far heavier than they are. They therefore require a lot of food and water. They require about 50–60 kg of hay and 20–25 kg of feed fortified with vitamins and minerals each day. It goes without saying that this makes them thirsty—very, very thirsty. Every day, Clydesdales consume more than 100 litres of water.
